Upcoming Betty Joel Glamour and Innovation Talk at Tennants
Join us at the Garden Rooms at Tennants for a talk by Clive Stewart-Lockhart, Betty Joel’s great-nephew, who knew her well in the closing years of her life. On leaving school he studied for a year on the Sotheby’s Works of Art Course in 1974 and he is now working as an independent art advisor.
Clive was a specialist on the BBC Antiques Roadshow for twenty-five years and has been a lecturer with the Arts Society for the last ten years. This talk and book is the result of many years of research and Clive hopes that Betty will be recognised again as the leading furniture maker and designer of the inter-war years in Britain.

Timings:
1.45pm – doors open
2pm – talk starts (approximately 1 hour)
Followed by Q&A and book signing
Event finishes 3.30/4 pm
Tickets:
£10 per person to include tea/coffee after the talk
