PUBLIC CONSULTATION
The Kirkby Malzeard Draft Neighbourhood Plan sets out proposals for the parish’s future development, focusing on key topics such as housing (location, type and meeting local needs), the built and historic environment (protecting heritage and ensuring new development fits local character), the natural environment (landscapes, biodiversity, green spaces, and climate resilience), infrastructure and transport (broadband, public transport, walking/cycling), and the local economy (supporting businesses and appropriate visitor accommodation).
If you live, work or operate in the Kirkby Malzeard, Laverton or Dalllowgill area, please send in your views on the revised version of the Plan.
The consultation runs until December 15th – the plan and online questionnaire can be accessed on https://kmld-pc.gov.uk/neighbourhood-plan.
Once this Plan is approved, it will introduce Policies which will form part of the planning policy framework for the area against which applications are considered. As such, it will influence future development in the area, so it is important to have your say.
