Experience nature at its most brilliant at Swinton Park Hotel and immerse yourself in a magical woodland landscape with Luminescence – A Winter Light Trail.

Running from 6th November 2025 to 28th February 2026 and set amidst the 17-acre wooded gardens of Swinton Park Hotel, you will be transported to an ethereal illuminated experience depicting the magic of the natural world through an extensive light installation.  Using the beauty of Mother Nature as the inspiration for the various tableaux around the mile-long trail.

Luminescence is a captivating experience for all the family. Warming drinks and snacks are available partway round the trail and Swinton Park Hotel’s selection of bars and restaurants is available to enhance your visit both pre- and post-trail.

Term time: Thursday to Sunday
Christmas holidays and February half-term holiday: All week
Closed: 24th, 25th, and 31st December

From 6th November : First entry is 4pm
From 8th January: First entry is 4.30pm
From 29th January: First entry is 5pm
From 12th February: First entry is 5.30pm

Last entry time is 8.15pm except Sundays which is 6pm (extended to 7pm in February)
