Unleash your creativity and learn the timeless craft of mosaic art in this hands-on workshop led by expert tutor Ruth Wilkinson.
Perfect for beginners as well as those with some experience, this engaging session will introduce you to the direct method of mosaic making, guiding you step by step as you create your own unique piece to take home. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor display, your finished mosaic will be a lasting reminder of your new skills.The workshop begins with designing your piece and transferring your chosen pattern onto a slate base. The hardest part might just be selecting from the vibrant array of colourful tesserae available! Ruth will then demonstrate essential cutting techniques before helping you bring your design to life. Once your mosaic is complete, you’ll learn how to grout it, leaving with a finished artwork ready to display.Whether you’re looking to try a new creative hobby or gain the confidence to start your own mosaic projects, this workshop offers a fun, supportive introduction to the craft. No experience necessary – just bring your imagination!
