In this workshop led by ceramist Kay Latto
You will learn to sculpt a small head – human, animal or mythical – in clay, approximately 15/20 cm using a variety of sculpting tools.Please bring printed photographs/pictures of your subject as a point of reference, particularly if you wish to produce a portrait bust, where you will require photographs, in the same pose, taken from the front, back and sides. By the end of the day you will have created your very own clay head which, after approximately six to eight weeks – allowing for drying and kiln firing – will be ready for collection. During the workshop, various finishing techniques will be discussed for you to apply at home.
