
North Yorkshire Council is overseeing a scheme through the Learn, Earn, Apply, Progress (LEAP) programme, which is part of the Government’s Get Britain Working Trailblazer initiative.
The scheme supports employers to offer a paid placement for three months, for at least 16 hours per week.
The initiative is aimed at supporting people who have been off work for a variety of reasons, such as long-term sickness, disability, physical or mental ill health or caring responsibilities.
