How did you come to run the business?
We wanted to expand our retail offering, after running a shop in Pateley Bridge for 17 years. Masham is a vibrant market town with a great community feel and many tourist attractions, so we leapt at the chance when the prime retail space on Silver Street became available.
Top sellers:
We have 2 departments. For country wear it would be our own English & Irish Knitwear. For walking gear – it’s got to be waterproofs!
What makes Masham peculier?
Our shop is named after our dog – Bentley – the black labrador
Most peculier product?
Down filled slippers. They’re great for camping or for anyone with cold feet.
Favourite place:
The fisherman’s hut walk along the river just by the bridge in Masham.
