Last month, Masham Futures Community Partnership launched the “Shop Like a Local” Pre-Order Service, making it easier than ever to enjoy the very best of Masham’s independent shops.

Simply browse a selection of hand-picked local retailers, choose your favourite groceries, treats, gifts or artisan products, and have them ready for collection when you arrive — no hunting around, no queues!

What is the Shop Local Pre-Order Service?

The Peculier™ Masham Pre-Order Service lets both visitors and locals pre-order products from participating shops before arriving in town. Select your items via the simple tick-box forms, choose a convenient collection time, and your order will be ready when you arrive. Many shops also offer local delivery — just ask when placing your order.

Beavers Butchers

Run by Richard, Beavers Butchers is known for its top-quality, locally sourced meats. Their homemade black puddings, pies and award-winning sausages are particularly popular, and they also offer a range of beef, lamb, pork, free-range chicken and game. Available to pre-order:

Run by Jenny, this small artisan bakery bakes a range of fresh breads, cakes and sandwiches daily — from sourdough loaves and crusty cobs to brownies, teacakes and savoury rolls. She also caters for gluten-free and vegan diets, ensuring everyone can enjoy something freshly baked in Masham.

How It Works

1. Visit the Pre-Order Service page

Choose from the participating shops and explore their available products: Shop Like a Local Pre-Order Service in Masham.

2. Complete the tick-box order form

Select the items you want and add your preferred collection date and time (minimum three days’ notice required). You can also add notes for the shopkeeper with any special requests.

3. Receive confirmation

Your order details and pick-up time will be confirmed directly by the shop.

4. Collect your order

On arrival in Masham, simply pop into the shops to collect your items — ready when you are!
