Masham has long connections with sheep – being a farming community, it is not so long ago that you could have bought or sold your flock in the market square.  But did you know that we have our own breed of long haired sheep?  No surprise therefore that we have a range of sheep items to buy.  From Magnets to Pencils and Notebooks.

Masham Flock Gallery

Since 2021 Mashamshire Community Hub have been welcoming a flock of talented artists, designers and makers to Masham, to show and sell their work. Members of the Reeth-based, Fleece artists’ cooperative, gather to showcase their talents at the Community Hub gallery space, now known as Masham Flock.

The staff and volunteers at the Community Hub are on on hand to make sales and shepherd shoppers around Masham Flock, but the artists cooperative organise all the artists and their changing displays.

You can find a range of art and crafts from the Dales and just beyond, which change regularly, so there is always  something new to fall in love with.

From hand made cards to framed landscapes on a wide range of materials, jewellery to notebooks, glass decorations to pottery, scarves to textiles and diffusers to candles and tealights that are created to enliven your senses – pop in today – we challenge you to leave empty handed!

Masham Branded Gifts & Mementos

As a visitor, it’s sometimes nice to take home a momento of your stay in a local area.  Visit our shop to find our range of branded items that you can take home.  Spend a little time talking to the volunteers and they will be able to direct you to one of our many local suppliers who can provide you with Masham Made products from Beer to Gin, Jam to Homegrown produce.

Walking Routes to Buy

We have a wide choice of walking maps and books with options to suit most walking styles and budget. Choose from clearly defined local route maps to self guided strolls along the many beautiful footpaths around Mashamshire.

Local Routes from £1.00

If you just want a short walk around the general area – you can pop in and pick up one of our printed A4 routes with specific routes explained and diagramed.  Walks range from 3-10 and are graded from easy to difficult.

Walking Booklets from £4.00-£7.00

You could splash out on a bigger walking booklet with more walks around the Southern Dales – these maps come with detailed descriptions and maps of the routes available.

Around & About Maps – £5.00

‘Around and About’ maps are ideally suited to visitors looking to take a short walk in the area in which they are staying. Easy to read  double sided maps at a scale of 1:16 000 (approx 4 inches to a mile). Laminated for showerproofing. Useful scale ruler for distance and walk time, Slips easily into your pocket
