Multi Sports Festival Weekend
Long Course Weekend Yorkshire is a unique weekend of swimming, cycling and running – a sporting festival that’s both inclusive and fun as well as being highly competitive and challenging and that attracts athletes from across the globe. Its unique format means participants choose their challenge by selecting their preferred distances and disciplines for the weekend.
The swim takes place at Ellerton Park, just up the road, and can be 1.2 or 2.4 miles. Cyclists can choose from of 56 or 112 mile bike courses through spectacular and challenging scenery, some of which featured in the Tour de Yorkshire, Tour De France and UCI courses.
On the final day, the running distances include a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. It’s a pick and mix approach to entries, but for those up for the challenge, there is an extra medal is up for grabs for those completing the longest distances in all three disciplines.

If you fancy a game of tennis the courts at Masham Sports Association can be hired by visitors, along with rackets from Masham Community Office. There is also the spectacle and sound of wood on willow on the cricket pitch during the summer, with the beautiful Masham skyline forming the perfect backdrop.
Relax and just take it in along with regular crown green bowling matches from April to August. Cricket, bowls, tennis and even boules, all available at Masham Sports Association.

Masham Golf Club
Founded in 1895, Masham Golf Club is a beautiful 9 hole parkland course, dissected by the River Burn with some beautiful views and something to suit every golfing ability.
Visitors are welcome and have included singer Bing Crosby and golfing great, Peter Alliss. Visitors should always prebook. More information here.
