The company is controlled and run by direct descendants of the founder Robert Theakston. The Brewery Visitor Centre makes for a fascinating visit – a chance to see the operation of one of the oldest working breweries in the country.  Considered an icon in British brewing Theakston Brewery is the home of one of the world’s most famous beers – Theakston Old Peculier.
