Calling All Local Artists & Photographers – Enter Our MCO Competition Now!

16 Apr 2026

Mashamshire Community Office is pleased to announce an open competition to discover and showcase local artistic talent.

We are inviting submissions for a new range of greeting cards that will be uniquely representative of Mashamshire, alongside a 2027 community calendar. The selected works will be printed and sold to raise funds in support of local community initiatives.

This is an opportunity for artists and photographers of all styles and abilities to contribute. We welcome watercolours, fine art, illustration, caricature, photography, abstract work, and any other creative interpretation. Entries should ideally reflect Mashamshire and its changing seasons, capturing its unique landscapes, people, nature, landmarks and everyday life.

All submissions must be received by Tuesday 30 June and must be done in a Landscape format. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of volunteers and trustees, who will produce a shortlist. The final selection will then be determined by a vote. The chosen 12 pieces will be developed into a range of greeting cards, with selected works also featured in a 2027 calendar, available to buy from the community office.

To Enter

  • All ages welcome to join.
  • You can submit as many entries as you would like, before 30 June closing date.
  • All pieces must be done in landscape

Please submit any artwork and photography to Emily@visitmasham.com for consideration, along with your full name, the name of your piece and best contact details. Alternatively original artworks can be left or scanned at the front desk of Mashamshire Community Office.

We look forward to receiving your creations and celebrating local talent.
