The holiday period is a time of celebration, but it can also be a time when opportunistic crimes take place, such as thefts and burglaries.
Below are some important tips and advice to help keep you, your loved ones, and your property safe over the festive period:

Secure Your Home and Outbuildings
Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when you’re at home. Consider upgrading locks if needed.
Doorbell Cameras
If battery-operated, keep them charged and ensure lenses are clean for clear footage.
Check that cameras are recording properly, the correct time is displayed, and Wi-Fi connections are stable.
Alarm Systems
Test your alarm system and make sure it’s fully operational. Ask yourself: when did you last test it?
Outdoor Lighting
Use motion sensor lights to deter intruders. Timers for indoor lights can give the impression someone is home.
Package Deliveries
Arrange for someone to receive parcels or use secure collection points. Avoid leaving packages on doorsteps.
Protect Your Valuables
