Uncover the tales carved in stone, brewed in barrels, and whispered through winding lanes, you’ll see how Masham’s peculier past lives on beneath every step.
Guides are local volunteers with plenty a tale to tell about what makes Masham so peculier. Funds raised from the 1.5 hour tours go to Masham charities.

Handblown glass is a hypnotic dance between the artisan and the molten material, a symphony of skill, precision, and creative intuition creates the most magical explosion of colour and form. Experience this mesmerising creative process 1st hand in the studios of local artisan Tim Simon of Uredale Glass.
Or feel the heat of the furnace on your face and have a go at glassblowing. A really exciting and one-off experience can be arranged by prior appointment. Take your work of art home or pick up a small memento from their studio of creations before you leave.
