Interviews took place last week and the week prior, for the 4 vacant roles (staff structure attached) and we’re pleased to say that we have now appointed 3 of the 4 roles.
We have not yet completed the Volunteer Coordinator interviews but we will update you in due course.
The trustees and MCO Manager took on board feedback from various volunteers about involving them in the recruitment process and as such, applicants for the Volunteer Coordinator post have been interviewed by two panels;
One comprising of MCO volunteers (representative of various teams across MCO) and
One panel including MCO staff and trustees
We’d like to thank those involved in this process for giving their time and commitment which has been extremely valuable and will hopefully give us the best chance of appointing the right candidate.
Admin and Finance Officer
Sarah McCourt has been appointed to the role of Admin and Finance Officer and started officially in post with us today. Sarah will be working 15 hours per week in this role, Monday and Tuesdays. Many of you will already know Sarah as she worked with us in 2020 providing maternity cover whilst Hayley was on leave at a very difficult time during Covid.
For those of you that have not met her, please do pop in and say hello as I know she’d be delighted to meet you.
Comms and Web Administrator
Rachel Dawson will be joining us as Comms and Web Administrator working 10 hours each week to support Julie with keeping the web and communications upto date. She will be starting on Wednesday this week and will most likely be in the office every Wednesday, however her days are yet to be confirmed.
Rachel is from Leyburn and is a freelance content writer, editor and coordinator and has experience of interpreting information for various audiences as well as having worked with charities in the past. She’s up to speed with today’s digital world and will help us process our various comms.
Please do make her feel welcome if you see her and I’m sure she’ll be keen to get to know everyone in due course.
Information Services Coordinator (job share with Jude)
As part of the consultation process, Jude requested to reduce her hours and as such, from 9th June she will be working Monday-Thursday in a job share with Debra Jones who will be joining the team officially from this Thursday. Debra will cover a couple of hours on a Thursday afternoon each week (to complete a handover with Jude) and full days Fridays and Saturdays. Debra joins us from Ripon and was previously at HADCA where she was an Administrator/Scheduler and Support worker, involved with the volunteer driver service and prior to that was a local Primary school teacher. Debra has close ties and connections to Masham and will be an asset to our front desk team. I hope you will make her feel welcome.
